Craigslist had a link to some corset website, which frightened me muchly and only reinforced the fact that I don't ever want to go to the Midwest. The webmaster wore corsets all the time and would undergo "waist training" with her partner. The thought of being punished for breaking "waist training" makes my skin crawl...
Actually, the Midwest isn't as bad as it's represented to be. What you saw was probably a couple in a bdsm relationship, with a fetish for corsets--"punishment" kind of gives it away. Trust me, those exist. (And yes, I've done my research on bdsm)
And yes, I'd wear it as outerwear. Not often, but once in a while, particularly when I want to make a statement. Always fun to watch the boys turn their heads and then run into something. XD
