Sunflower diary, entry #2

So Mom says she grew these babies from seeds, and thanks to the hot Merced sun beating down on us, the biggest ones are now taller than me and could very well grow taller than my dad.

Yup, these have definitely grown since last time. See that shed in the background? I helped put that together, LOL, and used my freshman year scene shop experience to guide me. The most important lesson: if it doesn't fit, smash it in! Mwahaha....

Um...getting a bit too hard to photograph this one since it is still growing, so I turned to the shorter sunflowers by the fence...

This looks almost alien, LOL.

I can't wait until they start opening! w00t w00t!

And obviously, I have inherited Dad's old digicam. But I still dragged my old manual SLR to Yosemite so I could do things like take pictures out of the car window. Yay for no shutter delays. :D
