There and Back Again

I think I love you
So what am I so afraid of?
I'm afraid that I'm not sure of
A love there is no cure for

Vegas was chilly and there were a lot fewer naked boobies and Asian people than I expected, for some reason. And it's acquired a monorail, that I took three times, and an Agent Provocateur, but I didn't get to check it out.

Am not quite sure it makes any sense any more to mandate myself not to call the Boy because I'm on family vacation and therefore family time, because when I wasn't talking about him, I was thinking about him. Sigh. Am hopeless.

KoL time!

Agent Vee Located!

I'm in PV for the next few weeks, and doing lots and lots of chores. It's good. It takes my mind off things, and in the clear, sunny, SoCal winter weather, I'm completely enjoying myself free of worries about school, and only mildly bothered by the future. I intend to spend this break indulging in myself by doing whatever the hell I feel like. And that includes recieving a visit from the Boy sometime in the next few weeks~! XD

It would be nice to run out to the beach and smell the ocean, but at least I get to look out the window and know it's there.

And the other thing about being home? Lots and lots of telly to turn me brains to mush! There's a Twilight Zone Marathon and a Godfather marathon that I've caught advertisements for already, not to mention all the syndicated Star Trek. Already on the second ep of TOS for the day, but there was a little bit of Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood in there somewhere.

Leaving now, before this turns into a viewing log that bores you all to tears. Oh, and while I'm on the subject of logs--50 situps, 25 crunches, and 40...waist toners? the kind that make you look like a retarded bicyclist/dying cockroach. :P

Sick and scared and small

would you help me rise up
touch my face and watch me try to breathe again
would you let me do this
burn down the final wall

overcome me baby
overcome me baby
overcome me baby
overcome me yeah
all I'm asking is to be alive for once

I forgot that around this time of year, when I'm finishing up tests and things, I inevitably end up depressed because I felt like I didn't work as hard as I should have. Nevermind that I spread myself too thin and there wasn't much that I could do--I should have known it would've been too much for me to take on.

keanerdotnet yesterday was a revelation, and possibly an inspiration for the mood.

But now currently distracting self, so hopefully won't be too incapacitated at the end of the day....or I could just go to sleep.

edit: A Barnes & Noble run later and I'm feeling much better. Predictably.

Things I Like About the Boy, Nos. 1 and 2

1. Hearing "You're so beautiful" as one of the first things he says in the morning has got to be one of the best ways to start the day.

2. Conversations like the following:
"My feet are cold."
"Give them to me."
"No, I don't wanna inflict them on you."
"GIVE ZEM TO MEEEEE!"

panicky

So much work and not enough time, or sleep.

*cry*

If it weren't for tech for stage managing tomorrow, I'd be in bed and not wake up until three. But noooooo....

Edit: ARGH.

Stuck in head

and of course I forgive
I've seen how you live
like a phoenix you rise from the ashes
you pick up the pieces
and the ghosts in the attic
they never quite leave
and of course I forgive
you've seen how I live
I've got darkness and fears to appease
my voices and analogies
ambitions like ribbons
worn bright on my sleeve

PrettyBoy Alert!

I've been haunting Asian movie sites again lately, trying to ferret out the wide-release date for Wong Kar-Wai's 2046. Of course, the big film of the moment is Zhang Yimou's House of Flying Daggers, starring Zhang Ziyi, Andy Lau, and Takeshi Kaneshiro. Mmm, yummy. I can't figure out why he looks so distinctly Japanese to me, even though he's half Taiwanese. There are also some shots where he looks like Adrien Brody and others where he looks like Rodrigo Santoro, especially in the glasses. Hmm.
